LONGUEUIL, Que. A Canadian poker champion who was badly beaten in a
home invasion and robbery this week is offering up to $10,000 to anyone
who helps find his assailants or his stolen possessions.
Jonathan
Duhamel wants two items he holds dear his 2010 World Series of Poker
championship bracelet and a Rolex Submariner watch.
He released
an initial statement on Thursday briefly recounting the beating he took
at the hands of two assailants. He said his life was threatened and he
felt lucky to be alive.
Duhamel’s reward offer is conditional on
the information provided: $10,000 for arrests and recovery of the items;
$5,000 for arrests or recovery of the mementoes; and $2,500 for
recovery of one of the two items.
Duhamel said in a statement the
offer is a sincere attempt to recoup the two items, both of which have a
strong sentimental value.
The bracelet and the watch were engraved with his name and the date of his poker victory.
He
also wants people to be on the lookout for “a substantial number” of
euros in denominations of 500 that were stolen on Wednesday. Such
notes are very rare in Quebec.voir plus copie montres et Bell & Ross
